The OEE Equipment Monitor

The OEE Equipment Monitor is the heart of system:inmation’s OEE functionality. It is a standardized OEE feature which tracks the OEE key figures Availability, Performance and Quality and calculates OEE effectiveness indices for any number of production assets of the global fleet and across sites in a uniform and comparable manner. It is developed in compliance with the OEE Industry Standard - v2011.

Monitoring VQT data objects in the I/O Model, it keeps track of Production Runs and Equipment Stops while calculating OEE effectiveness indices like the Availability Index, the Performance Index, the Quality Index and the OEE Index. These indices - being asset-specific - are accessible in the ISA-95 Equipment Model.

Whilst settings to adapt to the specifics of a certain control system interface (such as PLC, SCADA or DCS parameters) are configured on the OEE Equipment Monitor object itself, a number of dedicated OEE Configuration Objects in the ISA95 Equipment Model host specific configuration aspects which may apply to multiple assets or a whole production site.

The OEE Equipment Monitor and its context

The calculated OEE effectiveness indices and generated Protocols are accessible in real time as OEE Output Objects in the ISA-95 Equipment Model.

Detailed data regarding Production Runs and Equipment Stops is recorded in a Big Table Data Store

Various OEE Aggregations on all different enterprise leves are calculated by a dedicated object type, the OEE Aggregator.
