BatchRecord Datasource
The Batch Record datasource object can be configured to provide an interface to connect to external
repositories by choosing the Batch Record server type at creation.
The Batch Record allows you to retrieve and work with batch records form various source systems such as
AspenTech APRM/Batch.21 and OSIsoft’s PI-Batch. Retrieved Batch Production Records are stored in inmation’s
Production Tracking Data Store.
Use Cases
-
Monitor the state of active batches and extend existing batch records by adding additional information.
-
Convert legacy batch production records into ISA-88 compliant batch records.
Quick Configuration
Datasource object can created in the I/O Model under a Connector.
-
Select a Connector object and right-click. Select .
-
Enter an Object Name in the Create Datasource Item wizard click Next.
-
In the Server Type select Batch Record, enter the BatchRecord Name and click Create.
| The Server type cannot be changed after creation. |

The name of the batch data source as it is defined in AspenTech’s APRM configuration. The name of the batch area as it is defined in AspenTech’s APRM configuration. The code taken from 'PM_STATUS' of the APRM Batch Record, which indicates the final stage of completion. The default value is 20. Please note: in case a different code shall set the unit batch complete, in the Field Configuration a Header Filed Option has to be configured which maps the Source Field 'PM_STATUS' to the target field 'Batch Status' with direct field processing. The maximum number of batches which are fetched from APRM in a single call. Compound for PI connection parameters. The hostname or IP address of the PI-Bridge. The port number of the PI-Bridge. Username for PI connection. Password for PI connection. Value in seconds for the communication timeout. After this time the communication to the remote component is considered to be unavailable and the connection will be terminated. Re-connection will be attempted periodically. Switch the debug mode on. Specifies which Interface will be used for batch data retrieval (applies only to batch data processing functions). PI-Batch SDK: Batch Data will be acquired from a PI Server using the PI-Batch SDK. PI-AF Event Frames: Batch Data will be acquired from a PI Server using an asset framework server and event frames (the AF server must be properly configured in case this option is used). Name of the PI server. The name of the PI-AF-Server which will be used for the connection. If set this setting overwrites the PI-Server setting above, enforces the PI-AF SDK to be used for the calls. The name of the PI-AF-Database which will be used if the PI-AF-Server is specified. Suppresses the last value in timeseries fetched near-time. Compound for PI-Bridge Diagnostics. The date and time the PI-Bridge was recently connected. The duration the PI-Bridge is open. The version number of the PI-Bridge being used. The service name of the PI-Bridge being used. The service display name of the PI-Bridge being used. The PI-Bridge Lua library version being used. The .NET version determined on the host computer. The determined PI-SDK Version. The resolved PI Server Names. The determined PI-AF-SDK Version. The batch data record is compiled of item values read from an external OPC data source.Interface

Compound for the unit configuration for batch records. Array for batch unit configuration. The unit identifier which is used in the source system. If the unit asset code is configured the batch data for this unit will be transferred to Asset Effectiveness. The human readable description for this unit. Select the ISA-95 object, which is assigned to the Unit Batch. Selection of one or more staging targets. Development: Batchrecords will be inserted into the tables, which are defined as development targets. Qualification: Batchrecords will be inserted into the tables, which are defined as qualification targets. Production: Batchrecords will be inserted into the tables, which are defined as production targets. When switched off, it is allowed to exclude certain configured units from being processed. When switched off, it is allowed to exclude certain configured units from being included in refetches of historical batch data. Allows to specify a certain filter for the product name. Products which do not match the filter criteria will be discarded.Unit Configuration

Compound for additional tag configuration for batch records. Header Options. The acquisition mode defines how the value for this tag will be fetched. Compound for tag name parameters. The external identifier to read the value from the interface. Compound for object path parameters. The inmation object which will deliver the value. The pseudo name to extent the batch header or unit fields. Optionally enter a batch characteristic field name which works as a selector for the tag. This can be used to read from different tags in cases there are multiple products with multiple quantity tags or the like. In case the Selection Field is set, this value must be set to one of the possible contents of the batch characteristic given in the selection. Compound for tag unit options. Compound for timestamp parameters. If this is checked it is assumed that the datasource provides timestamps as local time, if unchecked UTC timestamps are assumed. Defines how to interpret the timestamp. The timestamp format of the source data is yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss. The timestamp format of the source data is yyyy-MM-ddTHH:mm:ss. The timestamp format of the source data is numerical POSIX milliseconds. The timestamp format of the source data is numerical POSIX seconds. Timestamps are supplied in numerical Excel datetime format. Compound for timestamp format 'custom' parameters. A string format mask specifying the interpretation of the timestamp. For Example "%d.%m.%Y %H:%M" for "01.12.2016 17:00" (q.v. http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_41_0/doc/html/date_time/date_time_io.html). In case you use ISO8601-compliant timestamps, this format does not need to be specified. Compound for timestamp 'custom script' parameter. The operation mode of the scheduler. Configuration: No data acquisition or analytics will be processed. One Shot: The data acquisition will be executed once to test the connection and the returned data. Test: The data acquisition will run on schedule but indicate to the analytics task that no further processing shall be executed. Production: The data acquisition runs under regular conditions and provides data analytics. Dropzone Integration: The data is received from a dropzone datasource. This object must be configured as target object of the dropzone.Operation Mode
