Event View

The Event View display shows both real-time and historical event data from event visualization objects such as Event Stream, Internal Event Stream or Script Events. More information on these objects can be found in the Alarms and Events section. The Event View display can be opened from the Open menu (Ctrl+E). In this case a dialog is opened automatically where the initial selection of objects, which are to be added to this view, can be picked from the I/O Model.
The Event View display will be opened automatically if an object of the classes listed above is added via its context menu. To do this, select the object in one of the display panels, right-click it to open the context menu and select Add item to… → Event View (shortcut Alt+E).

Event View displays are also opened automatically from the A&E Faceplate if certain elements are single or double clicked.

When an Event object is added to an Event View display, the display will automatically start to populate with real-time events from the object. Historical events from the object can also be accessed by clicking the Time Period Settings dialog button on the menu bar and selecting the desired historical time period. The other Event View Menu Bar items are explained below.
