Display Item Properties Panel

The Display Item Properties panel is used to configure the viewing settings of objects assigned to the Dashboard and GeoMap displays. The panel is hidden by default but can be viewed the panel using the keyboard shortcut CTRL+F10 or by selecting from the View menu in the main menu bar, launching as a floating panel.

When the panel is opened and a Dashboard or GeoMap display is open or selected, the Display Item Properties panel will contain information in its header section about the display. If no Dashboard or GeoMap displays are open, the Display Item Properties panel will be empty.

Header Elements

The Display field in the header of the panel shows which display is currently chosen for configuration in the Properties panel. The Tag field indicates which items from the chosen display are currently selected for configuration. More items can be selected and added to the Tag field by holding Ctrl and selecting with the mouse The Filter drop down list allows to configure either All of the selected items, or a single one that can be selected from the list. The drop down list on the right allows to filter configuration of selected items by the item type.

Configuration Tabs

Using the configuration tabs underneath the header, certain display elements can be changed depending on the item and/or display currently selected. The tabs will only be enabled if the selected item or display contains these configurable elements.

GeoMarker Configuration Tab

The GeoMarker Tab is enabled when the GeoMap display is selected and an item has been added to the display (see Geo Map display section for more detail). The Geo Marker settings can be configured here, including marker color, icon type and marker start-up type.

Trend Configuration Tab

This tab is enabled when the selected item supports trending in the active display. This could be a item added to a Dashboard or a GeoMap display with the Trend View selected. The configurable options are the same as previously described in the Dashboard and GeoMap Trend View sections of the General Settings menu chapter.

Faceplate and Faceplate (AE) Control Configuration Tab

This tab is enabled when the selected item or items support the Faceplate View in the currently active display. The options allow for different information to be visible in the Faceplate View on the Dashboard and GeoMap displays and are the same as previously described in the Dashboard Faceplate View section of the General Settings dialogue.

Properties Grid Control Configuration Tab

This tab is enabled when the selected item or items, support the properties view in the currently active display. The tab shows a list of properties that can be selected to be displayed in the properties view. To show the particular property check its checkbox in the Show column.

Performance Trend Control Configuration Tab

This tab is enabled when the selected item or items, support the performance trend view in the currently active display. It shows a list of performance counters that can be selected to be displayed for a period of time in the performance trend view. To show the particular performance counter trend check its checkbox in the Show column and set a duration in seconds (will be ignored if only one is selected).
