ISA-95 Equipment Model
The ANSI/ISA-95 international standard is used globally across all industrial sectors to develop automated interfaces between enterprise and control systems. The standard provides a consistent terminology for information and operations models that can be used to describe information flows for batch and continuous processes.
The ISA-95 Equipment model allows you to create an equipment model that matches the hierarchy model described in the ISA-95 standard and map measurements associated with assets to items in the I/O model. All the object classes that can be created in the ISA-95 Equipment model have an equivalent in the ISA-95 hierarchy model and demonstrate the same object linkages allowed in the standard. For example the Enterprise object is the highest in the model hierarchy and can be made up of child Site objects. This continues all the way down the hierarchical model to Control Modules.

All objects in the Equipment model can be given asset codes that match those used in the ERP system to identify the asset.
The ISA-95 equipment model objects can be used and linked to Batch Record creation in accordance with the ISA-88 standard. The Batch Tracker object can be linked to equipment objects in the ISA-95 Equipment model as part of the Production Tracking features of system:inmation.
